Destination

About Villefranche-sur-Mer

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a tender port on the French Riviera, between Nice and Cap Ferrat. Cruise ships anchor in the deep bay, where two French Navy mooring buoys help with the calls, and tenders bring passengers ashore at the Port de la Sante, a small harbour north of the citadel run by the departmental council. The port handles more than 200,000 cruise passengers a year.

The old town, the waterfront, the Citadelle Saint-Elme and the Chapelle Saint-Pierre are all close to the landing. Nice is about 22 minutes away by car, and trains and buses along the coast link Villefranche with Nice and Monaco. Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is about 31 minutes away by road.
