Where is the Willemstad cruise port?

Most ships dock at the Mega Pier on the Otrobanda side, just outside the mouth of St. Anna Bay; smaller ships use Mathey Wharf inside the bay.

From the Mega Pier gate, walk past the Rif Fort complex (with the taxi rank) to the Queen Emma Bridge and cross to Punda in about 10–12 minutes. When the bridge is open, a free ferry crosses instead.

About Willemstad

Willemstad is the capital of Curacao, a Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela. Its UNESCO-listed historic centre straddles St. Anna Bay: Punda faces Otrobanda across the channel, linked by the Queen Emma pontoon bridge, which swings aside for passing ships.

The pastel gabled facades of the Handelskade are the island's best-known view, and the city also holds the Mikve Israel-Emanuel synagogue, the oldest surviving synagogue in the Americas.

Curacao is hot, dry and windy all year. Most cruise visitors walk the old town, then take a short taxi ride to beaches, reefs or the Hato Caves.

Climate
Hot semi-arid climate with steady trade winds; the wettest months are October to December.
