Where is the Ushuaia cruise port?

Cruise and expedition ships dock at the Puerto de Ushuaia commercial pier, a 550 m multipurpose pier on the Beagle Channel waterfront in the city centre. The pier also handles cargo and fishing boats. The tourist pier (Muelle Turistico) next to it, where the city tourism office has a desk, serves the Beagle Channel catamarans.

Passengers walk straight into town from the pier gate on Avenida Maipu.

Destination

About Ushuaia

Ushuaia, capital of Tierra del Fuego, sits on the Beagle Channel below the snow-capped Martial Mountains. It is the world's main gateway for Antarctic expedition cruises. Most Antarctic voyages start and end here, and Patagonia and Cape Horn itineraries also call.

Ships tie up at the commercial pier on the city waterfront, a short walk from Avenida San Martin's shops and the restaurants serving centolla (king crab) and Fuegian lamb. Popular outings are a Beagle Channel boat trip past sea lion colonies and the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, the forests and bays of Tierra del Fuego National Park, the hike to Laguna Esmeralda, and the former prison that now houses the Maritime Museum.
