About MS Fridtjof Nansen

MS Fridtjof Nansen is a battery-hybrid polar expedition ship and the sister of Roald Amundsen. Her hull was built by Montex Shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland, and she was completed and delivered by Kleven Verft in Norway to Hurtigruten on 20 December 2019. She now sails for HX Expeditions with 265 cabins. In January 2022 she grounded near Måløy, Norway, in a storm, with no injuries.
