Skagen is Denmark's northernmost town, at the tip of Jutland where the Skagerrak and Kattegat meet. Cruise ships berth alongside at quays in the working fishing port, and a free port shuttle runs into the compact town centre. Skagens Museum shows the work of the Skagen Painters, Grenen's sand spit marks the northern tip of the country, and the dunes hold a sand-buried church and the migrating Rabjerg Mile. Skagens Museum is about a 30-minute walk from the cruise quay, and at Grenen a tractor bus carries visitors out to the tip.
