About Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez is a former fishing village on the Var coast of the French Riviera, at the head of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Its harbour sits in the heart of the village but only takes vessels up to 50 m, so cruise ships anchor in the gulf and bring passengers ashore by tender. Calls are by small luxury ships.

From the harbour front, lanes lead up through the old village to the citadel. The beach of Pampelonne and the hilltop village of Ramatuelle lie on the peninsula to the south.
