Where is the Jeddah cruise port?

Ships berth at the cruise terminal inside Jeddah Islamic Port, the country's largest cargo port, south-west of the city centre. The terminal is a converted ferry building that handles both turnaround and transit calls. Al-Balad is about 4 km away and the airport about 27 km north; taxis and ride-hail cars pick up at the port gate.

About Jeddah

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia's commercial capital on the Red Sea, has long been the sea gateway for pilgrims bound for Mecca. Its historic heart, Al-Balad, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of coral-stone merchant houses with carved wooden rawasheen balconies, old souks and centuries-old mosques.

The modern city stretches along a 30 km Corniche of parks, sculptures and seafront mosques, with King Fahd's Fountain, among the tallest in the world, jetting over the sea. Jeddah is also the homeport for Saudi Arabia's own cruise line on short Red Sea itineraries.
