Where is the Diana Island cruise port?
The itinerary destination is Diana Island in the Diana Bay area off the Ungava Peninsula, south of Baffin Island across Hudson Strait. The map pin marks Google’s named island/natural-feature place — an island reference only, not a berth, tender pier, anchorage or verified passenger landing.
Seabourn lists Diana Island on Venture’s 20-Day Northwest Passage & Nunavut Expedition (V752 / NWP028R12, late August–mid September 2027). Consulted first-party material does not establish whether a particular visit uses a tender, Zodiac landing or another arrangement; itineraries remain weather- and ice-dependent. Arrival type is left unset.

About Diana Island
Diana Island is a remote island in Nunavut, off the northeast coast of Quebec’s Ungava Peninsula on the southeastern side of Hudson Strait. Canada’s official geographical-name record (NRCAN OAEJO) identifies this Nunavut island separately from other places called Diana, including Diana Island in British Columbia.
Its landscape includes rocky ground, low tundra vegetation and small lakes. Seabourn Venture lists Diana Island on an upcoming Northwest Passage and Nunavut expedition itinerary — an expedition call rather than an urban cruise destination.
- Climate
- Regional Hudson Strait and Ungava Bay conditions are dominated by a long ice season and a short summer thaw. Freeze-up progresses eastward through the strait in autumn, with the region generally ice-covered by early winter. Open-water leads become more persistent in spring as temperatures rise; melting accelerates in July, but ice can linger along the south side of Hudson Strait and in Ungava Bay. Even after seasonal sea-ice clearing, icebergs and occasional drifting sea ice can affect navigation. This is regional marine-climate context, not island-specific temperature or rainfall normals.
