Where is the Bastia cruise port?

Ships dock at the commercial port just north of the city centre and leave through the North Terminal (Gare Maritime). Place Saint-Nicolas is a 5–15 minute walk depending on the berth, with the Vieux Port, Terra Vecchia and the Citadel further south on foot. The port also handles busy ferry traffic, so stay on the marked walkways.

About Bastia

Bastia is the commercial capital of northern Corsica, a lived-in Genoese port city with a strong Italian accent. Its heart is the Vieux Port, a horseshoe of fishing boats and pastel facades below the twin towers of Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. Behind it, the lanes of Terra Vecchia climb past baroque oratories and the Saturday market, while the Citadel of Terra Nova above houses the Governors' Palace museum with views across the sea.

Place Saint-Nicolas, one of France's largest squares, lines the waterfront. Cap Corse's wild villages and the resort of Saint-Florent are within reach by road.
