Where is the Bardsey Island cruise port?
There is no cruise pier or terminal. Expedition ships stay offshore and bring guests ashore by small boat, weather permitting. The landing place is the Cafn, a small harbour with a slipway at the narrow neck in the south of the island, where the day boats from Porth Meudwy near Aberdaron also land.
Trust staff meet arrivals at the Cafn and collect a landing fee. From there, footpaths lead across the island, which has no cars and rough, uneven ground.

About Bardsey Island
Bardsey Island, Ynys Enlli in Welsh, lies 3 km off the tip of the Llyn Peninsula in north Wales, across a sound of strong tidal currents. Known as the island of 20,000 saints, it has drawn pilgrims since the 6th century, and medieval belief held that three pilgrimages here equalled one to Rome.
The ruined bell tower of St Mary's Abbey dates from the 13th century, and a lighthouse stands at the southern tip. Mynydd Enlli, 167 m high, hides the mainland from most of the island.
Bardsey is a National Nature Reserve with a working farm, a bird observatory, grey seals and a large Manx shearwater colony, and it is an International Dark Sky Sanctuary. The Bardsey Island Trust, a charity, owns and manages the island.
