MSC Cruise Terminal AA
The MSC Miami Cruise Terminal AA at PortMiami is a groundbreaking addition to the global cruise landscape, setting a new standard as the largest cruise terminal in the world. Spanning over 492,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility is capable of processing up to 36,000 guests per day and accommodating three cruise ships simultaneously—two initially and expanding to three berths by 2029. It was designed by the acclaimed architectural firm Arquitectonica, in partnership with MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, with a vision to optimize guest experience and cultural integration.
The terminal has a 1.3 million square foot parking garage, developed with SKIDATA for a seamless guest experience. Innovative access is enabled via license plate recognition and the MSC for Me digital ticket, along with mobile payment and real-time assistance through two-way intercom systems.
Guests benefit from a biometric facial recognition system developed in partnership with Vision-Box, an Amadeus company. This technology enables a fully contactless embarkation process, including mobile check-in, digital identity creation, and automated passport scanning, allowing for fast boarding and disembarkation.
The terminal also integrates an immersive art program, created in collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. As the first immersive art installation at PortMiami, this initiative features commissioned works from multiple artists, offering interactive and bespoke installations that enhance the travel experience through the Art in Public Places program.
