Where is the Beqa Island cruise port?
There is no cruise port on Beqa. Ships anchor off the island, which lies about 10 km south of Viti Levu inside Beqa Lagoon, and passengers go ashore by tender to a beach, as there is no pier.
The walk from the beach to the village used for cultural visits can take about 20 to 25 minutes on an uneven, rough dirt path, so it may not suit guests with walking difficulties. The island has no roads, taxis or public transport. Check landing details with the ship.

About Beqa Island
Beqa Island, pronounced 'Benga', is a small, high island in southern Fiji, a short way off the south coast of Viti Levu. It is a rare call for small expedition and luxury ships, mainly on voyages between Fiji and French Polynesia.
Beqa is known for its firewalking tradition, vilavilairevo, and visits often include a village kava ceremony, a meke dance and a firewalking show.
The island has rainforest, waterfalls and beaches inside Beqa Lagoon, whose reefs are known for diving and sharks. There are no roads, shops or public restaurants; a few resorts sit on the coast.
